I don't think this scanned very well, but whatever. Chalk pastels! c:
I saw this kind of cotton-candy tree in a dream, I was in some fancy rich-person street in NYC, and everything was grey and with a dim green canopy of other trees overhead. There were about four of these things planted in the front of some grey, congress-looking building. They practically pulsed with this gentle pink color amidst the monochrome.
WELL this doesn't quite match it but I couldn't draw the real background even if I wanted to.
OH AND THE MOON RING, I did see a ring around the moon a few nights ago. So lovely. <3
|D!!! a cotton candye tree!! the dream of every kid!! until the caries comes D:

Even though they don't look alike, the concept reminds me of the metal trees in down town that the city had "planted" there. They're just randomly placed brightly coloured trees.
wow this is shucking whismical I, I, I, love the swirly wisps on the tree, and the little tinge of white on the path. Good use of color, sifu hotman. Also I reallyreallyreally like how the base paper is kinda a reallly dark pink which makes it cool lol.
I had a dream with monochrome, and I jumped onto my hands and feet into a pile of glass, and my blood flowed like bright koolaid red at first then I started bleeding red roses, and as I continued bleeding the roses they turned pink, then peach, then white, and there were roses everywhereeeee -shot-

I LOVE this. so much. <3 The deep greyish color and pink go so well together... makes me think of Schree. x] I really wish trees looked like that. It looks very much like the sort of world I'd like to live in!

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I like how the background is faded, it makes you focus on the tree more.
